WatchMySSL is an online service designed to monitor the SSL certificates of your domains and notify you well before they expire. It also tracks when each domain's registration expires, so you can see both dates in one place. This ensures you never face unexpected SSL expiry situations which can erode trust and negatively affect your business operations.
SSL certificates are essential for securing your website and protecting your users' data. However, they need to be renewed periodically. If you forget to renew your SSL certificate, your website will be marked as insecure, and your users will be unable to access it. This can lead to a loss of revenue and reputation.
After adding your domains to the WatchMySSL dashboard, our system routinely monitors the SSL certificates of your domains: weekly on the free plan, daily on Pro and hourly on Agency. As the expiration date draws near, we alert you by email (and Slack, if you connect it) 45, 30, 14, 7, 3 and 1 days before, so you have enough time to renew. You also get a regular report listing every certificate and domain registration date.

No. WatchMySSL is a web-based service. All you need is an internet connection and a browser to use it. There's no software to install or maintain.
Once you've added your domains, alerts are set up automatically. You'll receive email notifications as the expiry date for each SSL certificate approaches. To get them in Slack too, connect your workspace from the Slack page.

Yes. You can add any domain you own to WatchMySSL. This includes domains you manage on behalf of your clients.

Yes, this is all public information. However, we recommend that you only add domains you own to WatchMySSL.
You can remove any domain from WatchMySSL at any time.
The Basic plan is free forever and monitors 2 domains with weekly checks. Pro is $5/month or $50/year for 20 domains with daily checks, and Agency is $15/month or $150/year for 200 domains with hourly checks. Paid plans are also available through AWS Marketplace. Go to your profile page and use "Delete account". This permanently deletes your account and the domains you monitor, and cancels any Stripe subscription.
